Belt conveyors are primarily used for material transport in cement production. They function throughout the entire process, from raw material processing to finished product packaging, supporting large-scale production in the cement industry through efficient and continuous conveying. Jiangsu Haijian Co., Ltd. is a professional belt conveyor manufacturer and company. We provide specialized equipment for cement production, industrial solid waste incineration, and mining and metallurgical applications. Belt conveyors are designed for conveying small items, offering low noise, smooth conveying, excellent performance, and an attractive appearance. They continuously transport a wide variety of materials throughout the entire process, from raw material delivery to finished product shipment. Their efficient and stable operation provides a solid logistics foundation for large-scale production in modern cement plants.
Functions and Roles of Belt Conveyors
In the cement production process, belt conveyors perform three key functions:
Raw Material Transportation: Transports raw materials such as limestone and clay from the stockpile to the pretreatment section, with a maximum conveying distance of 5 km for a single conveyor.
Process Transfer: Connects crushing, grinding, and calcining processes, handling clinker temperatures ≤120°C.
Finished Product Distribution: Transports bagged or bulk cement to the loading system, with an adjustable speed range of 0.8-4 m/s.
A specially designed anti-deviation device (correction accuracy ±50 mm) and dust-proof guide chute (dust emission <20 mg/m³) ensure clean and reliable conveying. Optional options are available to suit different material characteristics:
High-Temperature Resistant (≤200°C): For conveying clinker at the grate cooler outlet.
Tube Sealed Type: For conveying powdered materials to prevent dust.
Large-Angle Type (≤30°): For conveying uphill in confined spaces.
As critical logistics equipment in cement production lines, belt conveyors' stable operation directly impacts production efficiency and cost control. Scientific maintenance and management must begin with daily inspections to ensure long-term, efficient operation of the equipment.
Daily Operation Inspection
Conveyor Belt Condition: Inspect the belt surface for tears, scratches, or edge wear. Repair localized damage promptly (damage > 50mm requires shutdown). Observe the belt for deviation; if deviation exceeds 5% of the belt width, adjust immediately.
Rollers and Drums: Monitor operating sounds. Abnormal noises may indicate bearing damage or roller seizure. Inspect the roller rubber for wear; if surface wear exceeds 3mm, replace it.
Drive Unit: Monitor motor current fluctuations (normal within ±10%) and record reducer vibration (vibration speed ≤ 4.5mm/s).
Cleanser Effectiveness: Ensure the polyurethane cleaners on the head and tail rollers are in good contact with the belt surface to prevent material adhesion and belt wear.
