As a core equipment for the resource utilization of industrial solid waste, the slag VRM vertical mill converts solid wastes such as metallurgical slag and steel slag into highly active micronized powder with a specific surface area of ≥420 m²/kg, making it a high-quality admixture for the cement and concrete industries. In steel plant applications, this equipment can stimulate the hydraulic activity of slag to 3-5 times that of the original slag, increasing the slag content in concrete to over 50% while reducing heat consumption in cement production by 15-20%. Its modular design supports flexible configurations of 2-4 grinding rollers. A hydraulic system precisely controls the grinding force to meet the processing requirements of slags of varying hardness. Jiangsu Haijian Co., Ltd. is a professional slag VRM manufacturer and company. We provide professional cement production equipment, industrial solid waste incineration equipment, and specialized equipment for mining and metallurgy applications.
The slag VRM vertical mill operates based on a multi-mechanism synergistic grinding system. Raw materials enter the rotating grinding disc (15-25 rpm) via an air-locked feeder, where centrifugal force forms a uniform material layer (30-50 mm thick). Hydraulically pressurized grinding rollers crush the slag. The speed differential between the grinding disc and rollers generates strong shear forces, which distort the slag lattice and increase the dissolution rate of active SiO₂ and Al₂O₃ to over 90%. The ground powder rises with the airflow to the dynamic classifier (rotor speed adjustable from 80-150 rpm). Adjusting the rotor blade angle precisely controls the final fineness (8%-15% on a 45 μm sieve).
The hydraulic system of the slag VRM vertical mill is equipped with an online oil quality sensor. Automatic filtration is triggered when moisture content exceeds 0.5% or the particle contamination level (NAS) exceeds 9. The intelligent diagnostic platform uses FFT spectrum analysis (1 Hz resolution) to identify early bearing failures and provide early warning. The key points of daily maintenance are: daily check of the sealing fan pressure difference (normal 500-800Pa), weekly cleaning of dust accumulation on the guide vanes of the powder classifier, and monthly verification of the grinding roller pressure balance (deviation of each roller <3%).
